What types of golf courses are included?

After understanding what a golf course is, there are many ways to classify a golf course. According to the convention in the Laws of Golf, golf courses can be classified according to 3 criteria: the right to participate, the terrain of the course, according the size and length of the course. The details of each division are as follows.

Classification according to golfer’s participation rights

If classified according to the player’s participation rights, the golf course is divided into two types: public golf courses and semi-private and resort golf courses.

  • Public golf course

This type of course is open to all golfers to visit and compete. This type of field usually does not charge a membership fee, players only need to pay the turf fee. The field is quite large, allowing a large number of players to participate at the same time. Some of the current golf courses in Vietnam are in the form of public golf courses, but they still allow golfers to register to become members of the course to receive incentives.

  • Semi-private and resort golf course

This is a type of golf course that combines a golf course and a resort model, mainly serving high-income golfers. Some golf courses of this type are only open to members of the course. To come here to play golf and relax, golfers have to buy a VIP membership card at a large cost. However, the experience that golfers receive is worth the money they spend. The yard has full facilities and ensures absolute privacy for members. In Vietnam and around the world, this golf course is quite popular, aiming to serve golfers of the high-income class.

In addition, a number of golf courses in the model combining golf and resort are still open to welcome visitors. Golfers in need can absolutely book these courses to experience.
